Estimated total $

Estimate combines: your lines company's published daily fixed charge and time-of-use energy rates (confirmed against their own current pricing schedules), plus actual historical wholesale spot prices for your selected region. Usage within each time-of-use period is distributed across that period's half-hours using a typical NZ residential demand shape (more weight on morning/evening peaks), not a flat split. Does not include retailer margin, metering charges, or GST. Not a retail quote — your actual bill depends on your retailer's own pricing plan and how they pass through these costs. Tariff plan is automatically selected based on your usage level (Standard or Low Fixed Charge). For spot plan customers, we assume a smart/AMI meter and prefer TOU-capable tariffs — the difference between tariff variants within the same usage level is typically small compared to the variation in wholesale prices.
