Common questions

When does billing start for device plans?

Not until your device is installed and online. You pay for the hardware upfront, but the subscription only starts once your electrician connects the device and it calls home to Warden.

What hardware is required?

The PowerWarden is a 25A smart relay — the same hardware used in commercial load management. Your electrician installs it in your switchboard in about 20 minutes. No hub, no local server.

Does a device plan include Smart features?

Yes — both device plans include full API and Home Assistant access. You don't need a separate Smart subscription if you have a device plan.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Cancel from your account page in a few clicks. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period — monthly subscribers keep access until their next renewal date, annual subscribers until their year is up. No emails required, no partial refunds.
